Before commencing with spraying all surfaces are twice-sanded. Firstly before the primer and once after to ensure a strong adhesion that will eliminate chipping, cracking, and peeling.
Subsequently all projects have the onsite process completed in a few days.

Our Streamlined Process
Preparation of the work area
Uninstall doors and drawer facings to be 100% sprayed and refinished offsite.
Following this we mask off floors, worktops, partial ceiling areas and splash backs.
Degreasing & Sanding/Keying
Then we degrease and sand/key all cabinets & wardrobes.
Now that degreasing is completed we then deep clean the cabinets we are removing any grease that has accumulated over the years.
Once the deep cleaning is complete we will then key the surfaces ready for primer.
Masking & Protection
We start by ensuring all areas surrounding the cabinets & wardrobes are masked off by paper or plastic ‘drag & drape’ to protect your home from any overspray.
What’s more, when this is completed we also mask off any washing machines, dish washers etc to ensure the same protection.
Priming & Sanding/Keying
Now the work area within the kitchen or bedroom is protected. Before continuing mask off where needed.
We then start this part of the process by spraying the Tikkurila Activprimer.
Afterwards this will create a strong adhesion with the result that it will seal up the surface, creating the proper surface for the top coats.
Activprimer is also a great stain blocker, which will help block out tannins and other chemical compounds that are naturally found in the wood.
After the Activprimer is dry it will be lightly sanded/keyed.
As a result this will ensure a great adhesion of the top finish coat.
Another key point is that this time we will also address any issues that we come across and make sure that overall the cabinets are ready to receive a fine finish.
Two top finish coats
Now that we’ve lightly sanded back the Activprimer we are then ready to apply our two top finish coats.
We then use the finest quality Tikkurila Nordic paint imported from Finland.
As soon as the two top finish coats are applied your cabinets will look, last, and feel like they came straight from the factory.
Clean the work area
After that we will remove all masking tape, paper, plastic, and dispose of any rubbish. When completed your kitchen will look how it did prior to our arrival.
Meanwhile the kitchen will be fully functional without any restrictions.
But at this point you will, however, still be missing your doors and drawer faces which will arrive the following week to be installed.
Over the following days your doors and drawer facings will be refinished at our facility in the exact same manner as your framework and carcasses.
The process we use is to degrease, sand/key, prime, resand/key, and apply two top coats of Tikkurila specialty paint finish.
Installation & Adjustments
Lastly after your doors and drawer facings are finished we will then bring them back to your home for installation.
Following completion of installation and in conclusion, at this point you will be offered a final walkthrough to take a look at your brand-new kitchen or bedroom!
